Golf Simulator PC Controls: Keyboard, Mouse or Touchpad?

If changing players or finding a course means walking behind the hitting area every time, start by moving the controls you already own. A reachable keyboard and mouse may solve the problem without a purchase.

Decide what is actually interrupting the session

• The keyboard is inconveniently placed: try a reachable shelf outside the swing and ball paths.
• You need typing and pointer control together: compare an integrated touchpad keyboard.
• Your current controls work: keep them. A new keyboard will not improve tracking or shot accuracy.

One option: Logitech K400 Plus

The K400 Plus combines a keyboard and touchpad. Logitech documents a USB Unifying receiver and supported operating systems. Check the current specification for your exact PC; do not assume that every wireless keyboard uses Bluetooth.

Consider it if you want typing and pointer control in one portable device and your PC supports its receiver.

Skip it if your existing controls are comfortable, you need a connection method it does not provide, or you are trying to control a different device such as a tablet. This keyboard does not change which computers your simulation software supports.

Alternative: keep the keyboard and mouse you own and improve their position. If you prefer a separate mouse for detailed pointing, an integrated touchpad may not be an improvement for you.
